Here's a light from GearBest that I saw, thought looked neat, and GearBest agreed to send. I haven't heard of Amutorch before, but they have a few offerings.
I've had this light for a little while and like the idea. Another offering by Nitecore and also a power pack let's see how it fares!
Today I'm reviewing a light that isn't even a new light. I asked for it, and GearBest provided. I have liked the looks and specs of this light for a while and I'm pleased to have one on hand to test. Let's see if it stands up to my expectations.
I've been a huge fan of the Olight S Mini (the brass S Mini is one of my most used lights!), and this S1 Mini is in some ways, it's successor. Yes, it's from the S1 lineage, but it's smaller than the S Mini; which is more important? And now it's available in High CRI? I was very interested. Keep reading to see how I like it now!
Another in a long line of Olight is the Olight M2R. This one is highly anticipated and regarded, with the momentary and recharging tailcap. It's a cool light on paper, so let's have a closer look.
Fenix just announced/released this Cree XHP70 light, and they set out to find a few reviewers. I got lucky and was selected. I'm excited to have this light from Fenix for review. A Fenix light was one of my very first "real" flashlight purchases ever!
I've liked Imalent lights lately, and they seem to be getting better and better. I finally swindled someone out of this big beast, and here are my photos and thoughts!
It should be well known by this point that I am a fan of Skilhunt. I've been a huge fan of the H03, and that's just fostered a favor toward the brand. I've been asking over and over to get some other Skilhunt lights from Gearbest, and finally they obliged me by sending this S2 Pro and S3 Pro. Both are form factors I already know I like (like the Nitecore P30) but add on-board charging to the mix. Let's see how they fare!!
I have wanted to do a "How I..." Series for a while now. Not that I have more knowledge than anyone, or more info than you can find on the web. But I can certainly tell you how I do something. So without more chatter, here's how I test a charger.
Klarus has a good 'recharging light' game going, and now there's the XT2CR in the mix. Read on to see how the light looks, and fares in testing!
I have pestered company after company to send a "big" light for review for quite a while now. The awesome guys over at BestLight.io agreed to send me this Nitecore TM38, the Tiny Monster! I'm extremely pleased to have it, and send thanks out to BestLight.io!! Read on for more specs and data points!
Before receiving this Armytek Elf C2, I'd literally never laid my hands on an Armytek light. I was always curious about them but for this reason or that, just never had one. Well Marshall over at Going Gear was kind enough to oblige my request for the Elf C2, and here's my chance to see what they're all about!!
This is a much talked about light that I didn't know much about. I finally talked Thrunite into sending me one. Here's the review... Spoiler this light is great!
With the continuing popularity of the Astrolux S41, an updated was developed: The S42. This light is essentially iterative, but adds micro-USB charging. And the Nichia emitter (which I have here) is 219c instead of 219b. Possibly most importantly, a new user interface! Let's see how this S42 stacks up!
I was pretty excited to get this light - it's one I asked to review specifically. How many lights with built in charging can charge Li-ion and NiMH as well? I don't know but here's at least one. So I was interested to test it, and test it I did!
I'm on a streak of testing lights with on-board charging lately. I've liked On The Road before, and this looked like a fun little light. I asked GearBest for it, and they obliged. So here's my review of the On The Road U16.
Another iteration in the Olight Nova series. This time it's with an 18650 cell, an updated headband connection, and overall higher output. Olight sent one over for me to test and see how this one stacks up! Thanks to Olight and Going Gear for sending this light to me.
The follow-up to the popular Nitecore F1 charger, this is the F2! Very similar to the F1, it has twice the number of bays, and almost twice the ports! Is it twice as good!?
I've had mixed results with Imalent - I reviewed a capacitive switch light of theirs a while back that I really didn't care for. I think they've improved it with this light, so I'm excited to put this Imalent DN70 through it's paces.
